Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Idle service ("Idle", "we", "us"), accessible at getidle.uk and useidle.uk. By using Idle you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Idle is an analytics tool that identifies recurring payments, price changes and operational spending patterns from a UK bank statement you upload. Idle does not move money, initiate payments, hold client funds or provide regulated financial advice. See our Regulatory status.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use Idle.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not upload statements that do not belong to you or that you do not have permission to analyse.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or probe the service.
• Do not use Idle to process data for third parties without their explicit consent.

4. Information accuracy

Outputs from Idle are generated automatically and may contain errors. We do not warrant that any figure, price or contractual term shown is accurate or current. You should verify directly with the relevant provider before acting on any insight.

5. Third-party links and partners

Idle may link to third-party services, including comparison sites, switching services and affiliate networks. We are not responsible for the conduct, content or terms of those third parties. Commercial relationships are disclosed.

6. Fees

Free tiers and paid plans, where offered, are described in-app at the point of purchase. Paid plans renew on the cadence described at checkout and can be cancelled at any time.

7. Intellectual property

Idle, its design, content and software are owned by us and our licensors. You retain ownership of your statement data and any content you submit; you grant us a limited licence to process that data to operate the service.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim and (b) £100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. On termination we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
